> This endpoint will only return the active certificate for the order. It will not return any duplicates or past reissues. To download a specific certificate, use the [Get certificate (cert id)](https://dev.digicert.com/md/certcentral-apis/services-api/certificates/download-certificate.md) endpoint.


Use this endpoint to download a certificate in the specified format using the `order_id`. See [Glossary – Certificate formats](https://dev.digicert.com/md/certcentral-apis/services-api/glossary.md#section-idm33281471684868) for valid `format_type` values.
